DIARY
14 May 2012 A NEW PUBLICATION: "HOUSES of BRUNDALL and BRAYDESTON: and occupants past and present" Vol. One.
A few copies of this new publication by members of BLHG are still available, price £6.50 + £1.50p.p
Please contact Wendy Ward Tel. 01603 713088 All the occupants, of the seven selected houses in this first book of the series, have helped make this more than just an historic record of 'house-ownership' but more an insight into those people who have made their home and, in some cases, their living in Brundall.
9 April 2012 - New 'Family Album'Folders have been added to 'MOST RECENT UPLOADS' section.
A number of families have kindly provided us with the opportunity to scan images from their family albums. We provide only a 'taster' to their total content!
These have proved invaluable in helping us to gain an insight into the personalities of times past, their interests and the impact individuals and whole families had in shaping our village.
For those, like me, who are captivated by old photographs, there are treats to be found in browsing such images of Brundall and further afield in Norfolk.
Should you be able to add information related to the photographs and make this a two-way experience, we would be pleased to hear from you.
Finally - why not offer your own Family Album for others to enjoy - an opportunity to leave your mark in an Archive which will take its place in the heritage of Norfolk? Much better than photos gathering dust in a drawer!
21 Dec 2011 - Upload of images to 'Most Recent Uploads - Margaret Harker'
24 May 2011 - Uploads to Photo Gallery -> BRUNDALL WW1 HOSPITAL - Even more yet to be uploaded - We are indebted to Kevin Ramsdale for allowing us to display a large number of WW1 Hospital images from his album collection.
We are particularly pleased that the large number of images we now hold offer an excellent source of material for those who have past family connections with the WW1 Brundall Hospital.
We would really appreciate stories which provide names and knowledge of those patients or staff who spent time in our Village - often far from home - during such a difficult period of our history.
27 Jan. 2011 - NEW GALLERY - MEMORIALS OF BRUNDALL & BRAYDESTON.
A series of slides based on a talk given by Chris Basey to the Brundall History Group in 2010.
These slides offer readers the benefit of a wealth of information Chris has gleaned whilst researching the stories behind many of those local men who gave their service in WW1 & WW2. It is hoped that relatives and friends may find this information useful and hopefully offer further knowlege / photos to our Memorial.
